Discoverability

This page isn't linked to from the main page as Original Content is, and seems to be of similar purpose. Why didn't you use that page? Are you intending to have it linked somewhere so that what you've done can be found easily? I'm considering doing some work on here to surface the content better and make it easier to see everything that's here in general. Maybe a general overhaul to be seen. I've planned to replace Original Content with Collaborative Works on the main page, I've just been holding off because I don't consider the latter complete. But given how out of date the Original Content page is, it's probably worth it to swap it now. One problem is the spam filter is blocking outbound links, so I don't think I can add any download links at the moment (I've made a comment on the Anonymous Admin's talk page about it), which is a major lack.

What are your ideas for the overhaul? and do you mean specifically the Collaborative Works page? Like I said, I don't consider it done, but I'd be happy to see more info added by others, or structural improvements. I've had it in mind to upload many of the works directly to the wiki, but I don't want to burden it with larger files without seeing what the admin will tolerate.

I've edited the first Main Page template to replace Original Content with Collaborative Works, but I don't have permissions to edit the template for the entry below it. I spoke too soon. I'm seeing that there's a maximum file size limit of 14.31 MB on the upload page. I intend to compress some of the egregiously large files (particularly some of the &amp issues, which go above 100 MB), but even these are likely to be above the limit. About 80 MB now that I've compressed all the largest files to 150 DPI, though most files are far smaller than that. The full collection (with quite a few duplicates and without compression) is within these two MEGA folders: 4chan_copy, 4chan_lit_periodicals; it comes to about 3.56 GB. That's fine. Bandwidth is a bigger concern than storage, but it shouldn't be an issue. I've increased the size limit accordingly. I'll also mirror the uncompressed files somewhere later, so that we don't just rely on MEGA. Anonymous Admin (talk) 22:41, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

The limit shows as 85.83 MB, but I'm currently receiving an error "413 Request Entity Too Large" when uploading a 33.4 MB file. Onan (talk) 03:38, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
