Someone asked how the average is calculated. I don't know, but I got pretty fucking close. (Got an exact match for 97% of the entries.)

(the average position of the times in which it has placed) / (number of times in which it has placed / number of years counted) rounded to the nearest 1 decimal point.

Simplified, it's (Sum of positions * number of years total) / (num years placed ^ 2)

I'm not saying this is a good way of calculating it.. but it is what you've been using for years.

e.g. for Moby-Dick, which placed 3, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 6: (3+1+1+1+1+2+2+6) * 7 / 7^2 = 16 * 7 / 7^2 = 16 / 7 = 2.2857 = 2.3 (rounded)

e.g for Industrial Society and its Future, which placed 11 in 2020, and was unlisted for the prior 6 years: (11) * 7 / 1^2 = 77
